Encountering some occasional light traffic as we round the island of Als. Nellie Bly just gave way to the Fynshav ferry as we passed betwen Fynshav and Bøjden.

We're starting the day headed south through the Lillebælt, a strait between the island of Funen and the Jutland peninsula.

Departed Fredericia at 07:00 CEST. Flat calm seas and light airs this morning.

In case you're wondering why there's currently no camera feed or real-time telemetry, the Nellie Bly was assigned a berth for the night with no shore power. She will be dreaming of electric sheep tonight and will awaken at 06:30 CEST.

Very long day for the crews of the tug and in the control room. Hoping for a quiet sleep and sweet dream.

For those wondering why Nellie Bly is traveling down the East side of Jutland. In Skagen we made this decision as forecast for the North Sea side shows almost a full week of high winds and waves which could force extended program delays.

Done for the day ending in Laeso at Vestero Havn. Reached 536 NM! Laeso's name is well known in Norse mythology as part of the nine daughters personifying waves.

Nellie Bly has passed Mols Bjerge National Park which is home to an abundance of native Danish wildlife. We are seeing a lot of sea birds today!

Good weather today. Departed Aarhus toward Læsø - our longest leg yet!

Finally, passing by Tunø -- a car-free island, unless you count the 'traxa cabs', tractors with wagons attached that are used as taxis.

Part 2 -- Samsø, the world's first 100% renewable island. Residents can boast a carbon footprint of negative 12 tons per person per year!
